This game was better than the last two.. and we were actually losing up until the 17th over of our innings. New South Wales won the toss and batted first. The started strong and stayed relatively strong untill near the end of their batting innings but by then the four wickets we took were worthless. They'd already scored 170! We'd already had an uphill battle but never got a good enough runrate to be able to win within the alloted overs. Sure we had some small partnerships but what we needed was some big overs. We needed about two runs per ball from the last 7 overs. We were making runs but losing wickets out of desparate running. Three runouts. So when Ramdin lost his wicket somewhere near the 16th over Pollard figured he wouldn't risk running anymore. 50 something needed off 24 balls he hit some poor bowler for 27 off one over!! The next bowler Bret Lee who is like one of the best in the world couldn't get a wicket.. or apply the pressure leaking 8 runs. The oddest thing though is that they gave the same run leaking bowler the second to last over. Pollard didn't even bother to let him bowl out the over scoring the last 10 runs off two balls. We actually won with balls to spare. All that after trailing for 95 percent of the match.
Pollard was the hero Scoring 54 off only 18 balls..
I bet the Not Safe For Work er.. New South Wales team didn't see that coming. That fifty has to be some record. This win was real drama I wish I could see the replay. I was following on cricbuzz during class.. i have to see this myself..
No one would've expected that.
But hey we won. YAAAAY! Pullhard, hook hard and hithard.. whatever you call him broke this match in our favour..
Pollard was the hero Scoring 54 off only 18 balls..

No one would've expected that.
