Raid at club nets gun and ganja

A well-organised police raid at a popular Central club on Friday night caught drug-using, gun-toting patrons by surprise.

It led to the discovery of several knives, drugs and a loaded gun.

Police say the raid took place at Club 175 at Carli Bay, Couva.

When the lights were turned on, marijuana, a loaded Smith and Wesson pistol and several knives were found on the floor of the packed nightclub.

WTF? People packing weapons so common and casually now that you bound to get some with any raid you do in any nightclub. :Throw: I cant understand why they feel the need to be toting guns everywhere... WTF?

Read this today...this is nothing new. Since the days when I use to party alot, there were patrons with weapons such as guns and knives in the party. So the actual fact of gun-totin patrons does not surprise me. What does surprise me though is the un-expected raid on the club which lead to the capture of some of these unscrupulous characters. kudos to them.

Yupps..... I love it when this happen. it made my night atleast i can go to sleep a little comfortable knowing someone got caught and there will be one less a**hole with a gun that don't know how to shoot

Fantastic. So these "clubs" don't have a metal wand or something? They don't pat down patrons? I can just imagine what used to go on there prior to this.

yup.....i wonder of that was the same club i heard that does do girls all kinda stuff
