Kamla's driver carjacked
Friday 14th May, 2010

Tunapuna Police are now searching for three men who held up the driver of Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar and stole his vehicle near the Tunapuna Hindu School this afternoon.

Investigators told C News that Denzil Dookeran - Mrs. Persad-Bissessar's personal driver was in the vicinity of the traffic lights near the school with the Opposition Leader's niece Alicia Harry when three men armed with guns ordered them out of the vehicle close to 2:30p.m.

The men later drove off with the SUV with the number plate PCJ 3.

This vehicle is used to transport the Opposition Leader to all her meetings and rallies.

Investigators told C News there were campaign documents in the stolen SUV.
