Days After Ian Alleyne said that "he can never be bought " and that "Jack Warner was lying about revealing that he had plans to contest for the St Joseph seat and eventually made Minister of National Security " , Ian Alleyne was made the Official Candidate for the People's Partnership to contest for the seat.
Although Ian Alleyne was convicted for the crime of showing the airing of a tape in which a 13yr old girl was raped , he is still eligible for the seat. He is taking some time off from his crime watch show to campaign for his seat.
During this time , he has lost alot of supporters as they say he is a 'sell out' , not fit to be a candidate, and that it was wrong to be affiliated with the same government he once complained about . He is running up against his ex-friend and former colleague Om Lalla who is representing the ILP .
