So no luck with our diagnosis. Coils are in good condition. Fuel pressure good. Spark very good. Engine tumbles. Timing good. But somehow there is no fuel ending up in the combustion chamber. Any reason why besides the injector timing?
At the moment I'm using helix 20w50 in the block and np gear oil in the box. Reason for the np is that there's a leak and I don't wanna waste my money topping up belray. But it works very well I must say and I have no noise or hard shifting while using it. May keep using it anyway. In the...
Mechanic and I have the same thoughts. Between today and Wednesday I should know if the coils are good or not as we both suspected the coils although they making spark it may not be strong enough to carry the engine anymore. Is so a couple good aftermarket coils are in order. His electrician...
OK I knew of 1 & 5, but 3? That takes the cake as I wash my car and repair it at the side of the road every time I do either. Good thing police don't enforce it. Many times they see me doing it and ask if I need help lol. But they are weird laws.
So I'm hoping in checking the 2 coils that this car carries that somehow I get it to start and run as intended. If aftermarket coils do the trick then I should see slight hp improvement as well.
So now I'm getting frustrated. So the timing on the car is spot on. Belt is worn yes but isn't the cause of my issues now and will be changed out before the car leaves. What I'm being told is that there's a short in my ignition system which is causing my car not to start. So I guess the next...
To me it's a great achievement to own your own vehicle first off. Yes we know that some people are given cars to drive but it isn't yours on paper. The day it becomes yours (certified copy and insurance in your name) then the achievement is yours. Mobility comes after. Hobby comes way down the road
Yeah well I'm hoping to get to fully realize the plan for this car that I have. Cosmetic would be the last thing buy all the mechanical necessities and supporting areas will be done first. Wanna do a wine red or color match of the dash for an external colour. Would have led floor light strips...
I use that mix on my rims so that I don't wreck the paint but still get the grime off. Actually all my engine bays so far I haven't had the issue of space constriction.
OK so things took a different turn for me in terms of mods and maintenance. My car has a timing issue so there were a few changes made.
Have a nasaki 90 psi pump installed in the trunk now. New in tank and external furl filters. New distributor cap. New set of plug leads.
Had all my engine...
Well honestly I can't say that. This past week I started hearing some noise around both front spindles so I'm guessing bearings, calipers, rotors. Want to change the brake lines as well even though they aren't leaking. Need to check the rear drums as well, as today I started hearing a noise like...
If you have a spray bottle then the brush isn't really necessary. If you're cleaning the engine bay a soft to medium bristle paint brush works well enough. As for what to use in the spray bottle, I use a mix of purple blast and simple green car wash concentrate. If you want a better clean add...
as far as the engine wd-40 works wonders. under the fenders use some kerosene/diesel in a spray bottle or you can pick up a bottle of tire shine concentrate from interchem i think (the same guys who make simple green) and use that instead. the car wash i go to uses it and it lasts days without...
