It's not the easiest thing to look at as it doesn't match (yet), but the proper feel that I'm supposed to be having while driving is way better than that tiny wheel could ever give. If I could get maybe an inch smaller wheel then I'd be in heaven
No airbag. Car too old to have any. It's a B13 wheel and the hardest thing is getting the front face off without damaging it. It's either a 19 or 21 nut holding the wheel to the column and each manufacturer splines their wheels to match columns so basically any nissan wheel would work for me...
So I've decided to make the switch from a sport steering to a stock one. Unfortunately there aren't many colours to choose from and prices are kinda steep. So this is what my interior looks like now

For the do it yourself-ers. How often do we wish we had some help freeing up some loose nuts and bolts?
My personal choice is crc power lube. Works well as far as my use is concerned. Would recommend it to anyone.
Alright so now I'm doing some tuning by ear. So far the idle adjustment is a bit off but still figuring it out. Just hot hold of the factory service manual for the car but not one for this particular engine. It helps but will continue to use the skyline settings for now
Just to update on the price of the supreme shine. It's about $55-$60 depending on where you get it. Also does anyone know what I can use to deter dogs from peeing on my rims? Imagine that is stripping my clear coat quicker than my mixture
So to continue with an update on modifying the ride. My upgrade list is as follows:
Nasaki fuel pump (90psi)
New internal and external fuel filters
Ngk v power spark plugs
New plug leads
New B13 single core radiator
2 12" universal fans for cooling
New distributor rotor
New distributor cap
All...
So all is well that ends well. Finally got the car started and firing in proper order. Also did a radiator "upgrade", if you'd call it that. Turns out the number one cylinder is on the passenger side of the car closest to the distributor. Just to set up idle speed and timing by ear and take her...
So I've found the root cause of all my stress. Seems the pin that is supposed to hold the gear in place on the distributor shaft has disappeared somehow. I found it strange that the rotor had 360? free spin/play, so I went to investigate further and found this
ok guys so the best news yet. got the car started!!!
it was the wrong firing order but it started nonetheless. the 1-2-3-4 order worked out well. the thing i did was mirror the order on the exhaust side for it to start properly. now i'm going to put it in the right order and mirror it on the...
So on doing a bit of research on variants of the engine (ca20 to be exact), I found quite an interesting explanation for why my car is "spitting". The firing order is 1-3-4-2. On the distributor cap the order is labelled as such so basically as the 1 cylinder is nearest the drive belts you would...
