Nope OEM immobilizers are not safe. Anybody with a FSM can pretty much bypass an OEM immobilizer and it has been done and continues to happen.
If they don't use the FSM then they will walk around with the bypass devices, replacement ECUs with cracked keys, etc... However those are more the professional type and chances are if they really want it, they will take it.

Locally you don't hear about it as much but it happens in other places of the world much more frequently. Down here our problem is gun point theft of newer vehicles and well either gun point or stand still theft of older ones.
 
what i mean not necessarily is by say for example i purchase a s/class benz you feel people going after that??? and with the technology some cars coming with away as standard as you can track it yourself etc......but in trinidad we get basic stuff lol d usual nah
 
Or hor, yes I see what you mean now. Nobody really going after Euros in Trinidad as much as older Japanese cars.

YOu mean like the Baby On Board? That is one of the worst things to get since a lot of those people does bad drive other road users and do some seriously aggressive driving.

regardless once you have a child you should get one.....it will give people the warning they need that even if crap hit the fan try your best and hit something else
 
That works but not down here. What is a must for babies is having them properly strapped into a car seat.
 
i think the baby on board signs are useful. I take my time when overtaking them or passing them on the highway. Although there are some that have the signs and drive like maniacs, it helps when there is an accident or in emergency situations
 
Regardless I take my time and drive defensively. I don't think a baby on board sign is suppose to be a reason to take extra caution around a driver but thats just my perspective on it.

Its probably helpful in emergencies I'd imagine.

Think your misunderstanding lol even being defensive shit happens sometimes and sometimes little things on vehicles such as that can help a person factor in what would be the best choice of action
