Campaign 41 Launches

Campaign 41 Thumb C News has launched a new website just in time for the elections on Monday called Campaign 41. With the promise to stream the day’s event live as both a radio and video stream Campaign 41 aims to be the place for live online election coverage.

With promises of not only being election focused but to persevere after November 5th as C News aims to use the Campaign 41 portal to bring news to the international audience in real time with the capability to include events from Tobago as well.

As of now though C News has filled the website with a lot of useful election information and promise to provide a facility for tracking the results in real time. The quality can be seen on their video channel where the most high quality online video repository to date of election coverage is available as well as a comprehensive listing with thumbnails of most of the candidates of each political party.

Campaign 41 could have been extended and more in depth in a couple of areas though, with backgrounds and profiles of each candidate, with possible video of each candidate’s speeches while on a political platform or even analysis or a face off of each candidate and their competition within each constituency.

With everything considered the website should prove valuable in getting coverage tomorrow and general news coverage going forward and can be added to the list of online television stations.

For reasons that are completely based on the 1990s way of thinking, they use Windows Media Player for streaming.

What a crock.

well the video stream has gone down…
the site has been inaccessible for the last couple of hours so I guess they did all of that work and did not plan for the server load.

i think they were going good as their feed was of a very high quality for a web stream, the problem was as the counting got underway their server was overwhelmed.
