In the upcoming general election the NACTA polls seem to be held as the main indicator of success on November 5th. Not to be overlooked though is what I believe to be the first local Facebook application called VoteTnT that is aimed at creating a virtual Facebook election.

You can add this application to cast your vote for the Government of Trinidad & Tobago. It tracks the votes gathers them everyday to display on your Facebook profile. It has been added over 2000 times and has over 1000 votes cast to date.

Compare to the NACTA poll with a sample size of 650 we clearly see that a greater sample can be gotten online. This does not discount or indicate the winner of the upcoming election as the demographic for the online poll may not represent a cross sectional sample of the population.
