So TSTT is trying to pull the wool over consumers’ eyes by rebranding their High Speed internet division to Blink because it’s “just that fast” or whatever it is their ads are saying. But here’s what I’m saying. Yet again we see TSTT being reactive, as was the case when Digicel entered the market.

Royal Bank of Canada, that country’s largest bank, agreed to buy RBTT Financial Holdings Ltd. in Trinidad and Tobago for about $2.2 billion to more than double its Caribbean branch network.
RBTT shareholders will receive about TT$40 ($6.37) a share, 60 percent of which will be in cash and 40 percent in Royal Bank shares, [...]

According to a new report from Web security firm ScanSafe a third of employers are now blocking access to social networking sites. Companies blocking such sites has risen 17 percent over the past year.

Having been sued by TATT for breach of contract Laqtel has pleaded guilty to a breach of contract and will be sentenced on October 11th.
It was alleged that during the period April 1, and August 31, this year, Laqtel committed a continuing and material breach of condition of its concession granted on December 31, [...]

TSTT is upgrading the speed and capacity of their broadband network to effectively service more customers at faster speeds. The service is allegedly called Blink Broad Band even though the website is currently unavailable.

With Flow’s residential rate hikes scheduled for November and TSTT workers marching against “restructuring” when the thought that we would eventually see a resurgence of another competitor in the cellular arena, the Express reports that Laqtel has been sued for a breach of contract.
