Live Online Election Coverage

If you are looking for online election coverage on November 5th to see the future of Trinidad and Tobago, JumpTV is promising to have a lineup of radio and TV stations available to do just that.
At trinidadelections.com, JumpTV promises that you can watch, listen and follow the coverage live. This is not necessarily true. Of the twelve links to the different media:
1 has not been updated since October 6th - Blog
2 already offer free live viewing - CNC3 and Gayelle
1 is not yet available on JumpTV - WinTV
7 are subscription packaged media costing you $12.95US a month
1 is an ad for the other Caribbean packages ranging from $12.95US to $16.95US a month
To save you the hassle of one month subscription for election elections we put together a list of comparable stations that will offer similar or better content for elections without the cost.
For those wishing for insight from bloggers updating you with the situation in Trinidad Politics you are presented with a variety of sources. Blogs come from two former Prime Ministers - Manning and Panday, the Freedom Chambers , a Jumbie and even a Manicou.
For the television viewers we have Gayelle, CNC3 and WinTV that already offer free online streaming as we’ve previously covered.
For those of you that cant look at the streams or would rather listen here is a list of free streaming radio stations.

So with a total of 16 outlets for online election coverage, I see no need for anyone looking to actually subscribe to JumpTV’s package as that package does contain media that you can already obtain freely.

JumpTV is not free for non-US and non-Caribbean folks. So folks in Europe or Australasia will have only WinTV (www.wintvworld.com) available for free. winTV is a new station and their graphics are limited to using Excel to show bar graphs, the results are just being read out by the election panel (Gideon Hanoomansingh, robin Montano and Nizam Mohammed), so one may as well listen to radio streams. What used to be TV6 has a bunch of dead links on their website which don’t work so TV6 is no longer available online in any fashion (what a waste of an opportunity - they had arguably the best coverage last elections).
Try the video link in the Campaign 41 Launches post and see if its available for those outside of the US. Their site seems to be overloaded but the video stream has been pretty solid .
