Emerging Blogs - Update
Oct 29th, 2007 by Dre
It has been 6 months since we first published The Top 10 Trinidad and Tobago Blogs. and I believe a follow up is in order.
As I work on revising the list, in addition to the Top 5 Emerging Blogs I have decide to share a list of the more recent blogs that have come online or to my attention.
The Secret Blog of Patrick Manning - A lot of buzz has surrounded this blog since launch including interviews and speculation as to the author. Witty when transmitting and expect alot up till the 5th.
The Extra Secret Blog of Basdeo Panday - A ying to the yang of of a pseudo blogger or maybe its the same person behind both, however this one is “extra” secret. No mention of Mrs. Panday here yet but we are staying tuned for election results.
Trinbago Forever - A fairly new blog authored by Geddes Davis: an independent-minded Trinbago national who simply wants to see his country live up to its true potential. Based on the quality of recent postings this is surely one to take a look at.
Trini Fake News - A parody on the local newspaper headlines and stories similar to the The Onion
My Chutney Garden - Billed as a daily garden blog with a dash of recipes for good measure My Chutney Garden takes a picturesque view of the everyday experiences of its author, Sharon Millar. With the picture to words ratio in fine balance, the colorful expressions are enjoyable.
Lyndersay Digital - From Mark Lyndersay who has been behind BitDepth, a weekly published column about personal technology in Trinidad and Tobago. You can source all of the BitDepth archives from this site as well as Mark’s take on other issues.
If you author or know of a blog that you believe consideration should be paid please feel free to leave a comment below or drop me a line using the contact form.

Thanks for the mention of the blog. I’ve only got two years worth of BitDepth available currently, but I do plan to post the previous columns as time permits.
I’m making photos and downloadable PDFs of my current project for the Trinidad Guardian available on the site. It’s a behind the scenes look at the people who create the costumes of Carnival.
