I like the concept where they are not only focused on performers but on the different artistic areas of production and behind the scene work as many kids may be interested in those as well.

Band launching season is fast approaching again and Carnival Diary is reporting that Island People 2008 is schedule to launch on August 12th and Trini Revellers will launch their 2008 presentation “Viva Mexico” on September 23rd. Every year it seems to move up a couple of months, in a few years you may be able to go a band launching on Easter Sunday.

Caribbean Beat Blog is highlighting the upcoming Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival scheduled to take place between September to October 2007. Their is currently a call for submissions that require no submission fee as well as the requirements and prizes that can be won once submitted. The festival’s objectives are admirably but how seriously can one be if not to invest in one’s own website and not a subpage of Movie Towne’s and to have a generic at WOW contact address.
