The user profile is separated into two main section that each render unique functionalities. One section allows for you to View your profile and the other to Edit your profile. In an earlier Macco Tools post we covered the basics of viewing the profile of other users.

Today we cover the Edit Profile page. This page as indicated by its name allows you to modify the details of your profile.

The first section on the page allows for the user to choose between using the default Allyuh avatar or uploading a customized avatar. The uploaded picture is automatically resized to the preset dimensions and your avatar will display when your profile is viewed or along side a submitted story.

The second section allows for you to change your user contact details. It includes traditional contact information such as your name and contact information via the various popular instant messenger programs and a homepage link. The contact details with the exception of the Private Email (which is admin only) will be publicly viewable by other users when they look at your profile.

The two fields that ask for a Google Adsense ID and Adsense Channel is a future feature that we are currently working on and will discuss at a later date when it is completed so those fields can be ignored when completing your profile.

The third section is used to reset your password if the need ever arises. It asks that you input your current password, the new password and a verification of your new password as confirmation.

After you have done modifying any information in your profile be sure to hit the Save button at the end of the section.
